Welcome to the Rope Labs website (the “Website”), operated by Rope Labs, LLC (“Rope Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Website, including the beta waitlist sign-up form.

By using the Website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Website.

2. Website Use and Beta Waitlist

The Website provides information about Rope Labs and our forthcoming product, Sendt. The beta waitlist is collected via a Google Form. Submitting the form does not guarantee beta access; we select participants at our sole discretion.

3. Data Collection, Privacy & GDPR Compliance

We take privacy extremely seriously and do not track, sell, or monetize personal data.

3.1 What We Collect

Through the beta waitlist form we may collect: name, email address, phone number, and any other details you voluntarily provide.

3.2 How We Use It

- To manage the waitlist and communicate with you about Sendt updates  

- To improve our services (aggregated, anonymized data only)  

We do **not** use cookies, trackers, or third-party advertising/analytics on the Website.

3.3 GDPR Compliance (for users in the EEA / UK / Switzerland)

Rope Labs, LLC is the data controller

Legal basis for processing: Your explicit consent when you submit the form.

Data retention: We keep waitlist data only as long as necessary for the purpose above. Inactive entries are automatically purged after 30 days of no further interaction.

International data transfers: Your data is stored in the United States. We ensure an adequate level of protection using the European Commission’s **Standard Contractual Clauses** (or any successor mechanism).

No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

Complaints: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (e.g., CNIL in France, ICO in the UK, etc.).

4. User Conduct

You agree not to submit false information, attempt to interfere with the Website, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website is owned by Rope Labs or our licensors and may not be copied or used without permission (except for personal, non-commercial viewing).

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Website is provided “as is.” We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD.

App is currently in development; all feature descriptions are subject to change.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Rope Labs against any claims arising from your violation of these Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Kent County, DL.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Beta Pre-Order Purchases

As part of our pre-launch efforts, we offer a limited beta pre-order option through our Website or connected Web Portal (powered by Stripe). This allows early supporters to secure access to the MVP and contribute to its evolution. By purchasing a beta pre-order, you are making a non-refundable contribution to fund development while gaining exclusive perks. All transactions are handled securely via Stripe, and no in-app purchases (IAP) are used in the app itself—your mobile app will query our backend to unlock features based on your credit balance.

What's you get:

1. Premium Access for 1 Year: Immediate activation of Premium features upon beta launch, equivalent to 12 months of credits applied to your account ledger.

2. Founding Member Status: A special badge or designation in your app profile, visible to your supporters, recognizing your early support. This status persists indefinitely and may unlock future perks, such as priority access to Phase 2 features (e.g., peer-to-peer Signal Protocol integration).

3. Input on Development Roadmap: Invitations to exclusive feedback sessions, surveys, or direct channels (e.g., via email or our Admin Portal) where you can provide input on features like offline syncing reliability, media sandbox security, or notification strategies. We value missionary and field worker insights to ensure the app remains user-centric.

Purchase Terms:

• Pricing and Payment: Pre-order pricing is set at $80 one-time fee, subject to change without notice. Payments are processed via Stripe and may include applicable taxes or fees. You must provide accurate billing information, and we reserve the right to reject or cancel orders for any reason, including suspected fraud.

• No Refunds or Cancellations: All beta pre-orders are final and non-refundable. This reflects the developmental nature of the MVP timelines may shift and features could evolve based on testing. If the beta is delayed or canceled, your purchase will convert to equivalent premium credits for the final release.

• Delivery and Activation: Access codes or credits will be delivered via email upon successful payment. Beta access is invite-only and tied to your verified phone number/account. 

• Eligibility and Limitations: Pre-orders are available to users 18+ and compliant with our User Taxonomy. Founding Member input is advisory only; we retain sole discretion over the roadmap to maintain security and compliance (GDPR/CCPA).

• Risks and Disclaimers: our app is built with strict server-side controls in Phase 1, but as a beta, it's provided "as is." We make no warranties on availability, performance, or exact features.
